How to Make Ramen | Chicken Ramen Noodle Soup | Food Busker Flavor Makers Series 

It's the dead of winter. You're freezing. And you want something delicious This is not going to cut it! What I want to do is show you how to make a ramen that you can actually enjoy So, in four and a half hours we're going to sear some pork, make some broth, and be sure that those winter cravings are satisfied.

First and foremost, you're going to take some McCormick Sesame Seeds and you're going to put them into a dry, hot skillet This is going to toast up all of that sesame oil that's naturally occurring in the seeds and start really releasing those flavors. 



While that's happening, you're going to add cayenne pepper, ginger, garlic powder, and you're going to mix that up You can actually start smelling the fragrance of the sesame oil releasing, and that's how you know the dry toasting is almost done. You don't want them to brown, you just want them to kind of release.

You're going to put them into your seasoning mix, put your oil into your cast iron skillet that's now totally heated, let that warm up. Add about a teaspoon of this mixture, some brown sugar, mix that up. 


Take your pork Now ideally with the pork that you're going to use for ramen, it's going to be a little bit fattier, so make sure there's a nice fat cap on top, dry it off, make sure it's totally dry, and then you're going to take this brown sugar seasoned rub, put it on top, and really rub it in Okay, that's gorgeous, that's all pushed in. 


Fat side down, you're going to put this into the pan to sear it up. Mmmmm Now this is going to take a few minutes, so while that happens you can kind of clear anything else that you don't really need Now if you have the time, I think it's phenomenal to put all of those spices and seasonings together and leave it on the pork shoulder overnight.

Now this is going to cook for 30 more minutes Honestly this pork is so tender I barely need a knife. Oh my god, this is the most beautiful pork I've ever roasted. 


I'm going to go prepare the rest of the ingredients While I do, you just stare at this for a minute. Just look. All right, so while that rested I boiled up my ramen noodles. That took about three or four minutes. You don't want to overcook your ramen noodles, and same with your soft-boiled eggs three or four minutes tops Bean sprouts, corn, and scallions is what I had in my fridge, but whatever you've got.
